Rhian, born in 1982, hails from Idole near Carmarthen. She has already won many awards as a singer, including the coveted Bryn Terfel Scholarship, the Youth Blue Ribbon at the National Eisteddfod, the John Fussell Memorial Prize, the 2004 Cân i Gymru competition and the London MBF Educational Award.
